I’ve been absent of late.  I don’t wanna whine, but I thought I’d pick up a little bit of a following here…but sadly only have a few readers.  Boo.  But I read a handful of readers faithfully and they keep me motivated.

Anyway, I had two huge losses this month only to have some gains because of being sick  (again).  I only lost 1.8 lbs in reality…even though I had two 5 lb losses.  Frustration!  But I only have 55 lbs to go until my ultimate goal.  225 lbs.  I know that doesn’t seem healthy, but I have a feeling it’s going to be okay for me.  I’m tall, I’m seriously big boned.  No joke. I’m like amazon woman.

Let me tell you a little bit about Jenny McCarthy’s Your Shape.  It was about $60 at Sam’s Club and it was $70 at GameStop, so I saved some bucks there.  You hook up the cam to the Wii and it detects your shape and you put in your height and weight and all that good stuff.  You *must* have a lot of room to work out.  I don’t have that much room and it really messes with the system sometimes.  You should have a well lit area to workout in and you should also weight light colored clothing.  It gets frustrating when she tells you you’re doing it wrong when you know you’re not–and it’s probably because of one of those things I mentioned.  It is an awesome workout.  She really kicks ass.  I don’t know how accurate the calorie burning is but when I work out for 30 minutes I burn around 700 calories.  It seems like a lot but you’re really moving and sweating.  And if you can burn 500 on the elliptical I say this is pretty close.  I worked out 4 days this week with it, rode my recumbent bike once and I lost 5 lbs this week.  So I’m going to say it works pretty well.

Hope my few readers are doing well.  Jennifer, you’re doing *amazing*!!!!  Such an inspiration!

Thanks for the review! Did the game come with the webcam or do you get one separately? I’m not sure I could make it work, given the small area that I have to work out in. As it is, I have to strategically place my legs when I do side lunges with the Wii Active. 🙂

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been sick again. How horrible! It makes sticking to anything with a positive outcome a little harder and more laborious. Don’t give up though. Any loss is positive — that’s what I also told another friend of mine that was disappointed in having only lost a half pound last week.
